Week 7 Vocabulary Definitions and Examples

Assume- Suppose to be the case, without proof. (1)  If you assume things about other people before you get to know them, you are probably incorrect about your assumptions

Respond- To reply or answer in words. (1) A good way to respond to assumptions is to prove people wrong.
Process- Subejct to a process or treatment. (1) Processed foods tend to be unhealthier than organically grown foods.

Occur- Happen; take place. (1) Common colds occur when people don't wash their hands frequently.

Week 5/6 Vocab. Sentences

Justify; (1) The laywer was justifying his client's explanation. (2) The student wanted to justify his answer.

Establish; (1) The new employee had to establish at her new job. (2) Construction workers were thinking of establishing a new building.

Indicate; (1) The teacher had to indicate where the map was at. (2) She thought her sneezing indicated to her being sick.

Method; (1) The teacher thought her method of doing the math problem was the easiest. (2) The student thought the teacher's method was easy as well.

Justify-to show; to be just or right.

Establish-setup on a firm or perminent basis.

Indicate-to point out; show.

Method-a way of doing something, specifically a systematic way.
